At Freedom Rising, our mission is to eradicate human trafficking and child exploitation by providing comprehensive support to survivors and those at high risk. The programs we work with offer safe housing, education, nutritious meals, vocational training, and mental health services to help individuals break free from cycles of exploitation. Rooted in a commitment to dignity and empowerment, we work collaboratively with local and international partners, ensuring that our programs are culturally inclusive and open to all. By strengthening communities, advocating for systemic change, and fostering economic opportunities, we aim to create a world where every individual has the chance to live in safety, with hope and freedom.

Help Us Open the Doors to a Safe Home in Bangladesh
For children vulnerable to human trafficking and exploitation in Bangladesh, having a safe place to live can completely change the direction of their lives. Freedom Rising has been working with our partners on the ground to prepare a new safe home where children can live in a secure, stable environment and receive the care and support they need to build a better future.
We have already made significant progress. The building has been secured, Freedom Rising is currently helping cover the ongoing rent, and work is underway to refurbish, furnish, and prepare the home for the children who will live there.
So far, we have raised $9,000 of our $15,000 goal to furnish and prepare the
safe home. That funding is helping provide the beds, furniture, household
necessities, and other items needed to turn an empty building into a real
home.
We are now getting close to the point where children can begin moving in
but we need help getting the rest of the way there.
Our remaining goal is $6,000. Reaching it will allow us to finish preparing the home and help open the doors to children who need safety, stability, and an opportunity for a new beginning. We have the building. We are paying the rent. The home is being prepared. Now we need your help to finish it.

A Safe Home in Nepal: The Power of Collaboration
One of Freedom Rising’s biggest milestones this year has been helping secure more than $30,000 to furnish and equip a safe home for survivors of human trafficking in Nepal in collaboration with the Mukti Home.
This project became possible through a Rotary International Global Grant and the collaboration of Rotary clubs, local partners, donors, and organizations working together toward the same goal. By combining local contributions with Rotary District and International support, the impact of every dollar was multiplied.
The funding will help provide beds, furniture, household essentials, and other equipment needed to turn the building into a safe, stable home where survivors can begin rebuilding their lives.
This project is a powerful example of what collaboration can accomplish. No single organization had to carry the entire burden. Instead, many people contributed resources, relationships, and expertise to create something much larger.

Beyond safe homes, we are leading collaborative efforts with multiple nonprofit organizations to conduct Home Investigation Reports to assist in repatriating trafficking victims. These teams help ensure survivors can safely return home, reconnect with their families when appropriate, and receive ongoing support that reduces the risk of re-trafficking.
By working alongside a growing network of trusted partners across the United States, Bangladesh, India, and Nepal, we maximize resources, eliminate duplication of efforts, and expand our collective impact. Together, we are building systems that not only rescue survivors but also create lasting solutions that restore dignity, strengthen communities, and prevent future exploitation.

How does this happen?
A community brothel is a large, often government-tolerated red-light district where multiple generations of women live and work in the sex trade. These brothels are not just places of exploitation but entire communities where women, many of whom were trafficked as children, are trapped in cycles of abuse, poverty, and systemic neglect. In places like Daulatdia, Bangladesh, one of the largest brothel districts in the world, thousands of women are forced into sex work, and their children grow up in an environment where exploitation is normalized. Freedom Rising is on a mission to find people willing to pledge just $50 a month to fight human trafficking.
