In the heart of Bangladesh, thousands of children are born into a life they never chose. A life surrounded by exploitation, danger, and hopelessness. They grow up in community brothels, places where generations of women have been trapped in the sex trade, often as a result of trafficking. These children, through no fault of their own, are denied access to education, safety, and a future beyond the brothel walls. Schools refuse to admit them because of their mothers’ work, and they are constantly at risk of being groomed into the same cycle of exploitation.
Without intervention, their fate is almost sealed. Girls are expected to follow in their mothers’ footsteps, and boys are often recruited into criminal activities that fuel human trafficking networks. No child should be defined by the circumstances of their birth.

Programs like the House of Hope offer education, meals, medical care, and a safe space where children can experience a world beyond the brothel. The Meena Project rescues young girls before they are trafficked and provides them with a loving home, education, and the tools to build a future free from exploitation. We are raising funds to fully furnish a new girls’ safe home that will provide safety, stability, and healing for up to 150 girls. This home will be a refuge from violence and trafficking and a place where girls can grow, learn, and dream of a future free from exploitation.
Furnishing a Boys’ Safe Home
Boys are often overlooked victims of trafficking and abuse. We are also working to furnish a dedicated boys’ safe home, ensuring they have a secure environment, access to education, and the support needed to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Furnishing a New Safe Home in Kathmandu, Nepal
Our work is expanding to Kathmandu, Nepal, where we are raising funds to furnish a new safe home for vulnerable children. This space will provide immediate protection and long-term support for those at risk, extending Freedom Rising’s impact into another critical region.
Sustaining the House of Hope (Monthly Support)
In addition to these new homes, we are working to raise the ongoing monthly support needed to sustain the House of Hope, the heartbeat of our work. The House of Hope supports over 250 children every day and serves hundreds of mothers, offering education, vocational training, community support, and a real alternative to exploitation. For many women and children, it is the only lifeline standing between them and a life of abuse.
